Our simplified application process makes it as easy as possible for you to apply to Avalon School of Cosmetology.

When you contact us, an admissions representative will walk you through the entire process from start to finish. You’ll learn more about our programs to discover if a beauty career is right for you! Your representative will clearly explain everything you need to submit and how the program works. We'll even have a financial aid representative sit down with you and discuss the amount and type of federal financial aid that may be available to you.

Admissions Process

Applying to Avalon School of Cosmetology is easy! Just follow the steps below, and you'll be learning more about the cosmetology industry before you know it!

  1. To attend Avalon School of Cosmetology, verify you meet admissions criteria:
    • You must be able to speak and write English fluently, and you must meet one of the following education requirements:
      • A high school diploma
      • A General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
      • An official high school transcript with 10 passing credits – two being in English – in addition to passing an ATB test
      • Proof that you are 23 years of age or older in addition to passing the ATB test
         
    • If you’re applying to the Student Instructor program, you must possess the basic requirements and notarized proof of one year’s work experience.
       
  2. Meet with an admissions representative
    • This interview gives you and your family the opportunity to sit down and review the catalog, ask questions relating to courses, and discuss career goals.
       
  3. Submit your application packet
    • The following items are required to be completed when you apply to Avalon School of Cosmetology:
      • Official school application
      • Request for high school diploma, high school equivalency or GED
      • Enrollment agreement
      • Payment of registration fee

Once these items are submitted, the campus president reviews your file for completeness and sends you a letter of acceptance!
